Happy 4th of July to all our awesome Camera Couple readers! This is one of our favorite holidays of the year! Why? Because we met on the 4th of July back in 2015. I'll bore you with our love story some other time though. This year we headed out for some camping in West Virginia to Camp Creek State Park. I booked this trip early on in 2021 to make sure we could get camping for the long weekend. Originally, John and Bailey were supposed to accompany us, however as the weekend approached, the weather was looking questionable for tenting. The drive from Charlotte is about 3 hours, so we set off Friday after work and got up to the campground early evening. It was an adorable campground tucked away in the mountains of WV. The sites were spacious and had lots of distance between neighbors.
Originally we were planning to check out on Monday, but our work schedules shifted, and we had a big trip up north coming the following weekend, so we decided to leave Sunday afternoon rather than Monday. Camp Creek was definitely one that we will be visiting again full of awesome views and a lot of peace and quiet.
