We've spent years (okay, one year) planning this trip, and the time had finally come. It was time for our massive cross-country, state-visiting, mountain climbing, sand dune boarding, canoeing, National Park-exploring camping trip. And what a trip it was! The plan was to hit 16 states from North Carolina all the way to Washington State and back! Once finished, Rose would have 49/50 states to her 50 under 30 goal! Here's a "quick" rundown of the stops we hit across the country:
In case you're curious (as many people have been), Idaho was our favorite state we visited — with Montana as a very close second. It was incredibly unique and had so much variety! You could visit sand dunes, desert, and some of the best stargazing in the country in the south, and awe-inspiring mountains, lakes, and greenery in the north. It had everything you could want in a state, including tons and tons of potatoes! We'll break the trip into several blogs, so you don't have to read a novel all at once. So stay tuned for updates! Click here to read all the "Big Trip" blogs (that we have written, at least).

Wow, what an epic adventure! It's incredible to see the dedication and planning that went into your cross-country trip. Visiting 16 states in one go is no small feat, and it sounds like you made the most of every stop along the way.
