Oh Camera couple where art thou?

Hey ya'll! (Well of course we picked up a southern twang accent since we moved down to North Carolina.) Our apologies for it being a long while since a post. We have been on the run while attempting to convert our website over to a new domain host. Just like the Soggy Bottom Boys (hence the blog title name) we have been on the road and roaming around trying to find our way. We wanted to catch you up on all the excitement of the last four months now that we officially have settled.

We packed up and headed out of Maryland early on the 28th of December. Of course Cameron and I bought walkie talkies for the trip to communicate the whole way down. It was quite a fun experience. Once we made it down and got our apartment squared away we spent the entire month of January making the apartment home. Shopping sprees were a daily occurrence mixed in with getting situated at work. While I was working Cameron would go out and price what we needed for our apartment. January was a lot of shopping and time in stores but by the end of the month we had bought most everything we needed and owed not one bit of money, Success! As the end of January approached Cameron and I finally started our exploring back up. First place we traveled to was my work where we roamed the Greenway by taking a 10 mile hike. We realized after 4 hours that we should have planned a bit better...

After exhausting ourselves we didn't seem to ease up. A few weeks later Cameron picked up a job farming in Monroe, NC. Within a few days in his new role he was responsible for planning a huge Strawberry festival for the area set to kick off in April....and boy did he crush it!! (pictures coming in next blog post...stay tuned) We took a trip down to Charleston, SC early February to see Corey Smith again which was a blast. We stayed the night right in the city and absolutely loved the upbeat social night life. Once March hit it was full force coaching swim and planning a festival....we didn't have time for much else which is why our dear followers had such an absence...needless to say we are back and ready to continue sharing our southern adventures with you!!!
