After an exciting trip to Nashville, we were off to Memphis. I was excited to get to Memphis. The first time I came here, I was blown away by the music and the "tone" of the city. Nashville is great for parties and barhopping, but the music is cookie-cutter. You might as well listen to the radio. Memphis on the other hand, you won't find better sounds anywhere! There's so much passion and soul in every bar on Beale Street. We love traveling during Christmas time; nothing is ever busy. One of our favorite trips ever was to Atlantic City in the middle of winter. This one was no different. Even the world-famous Beale Street was basically dead, but the music was still playing! We ended up staying at another KOA because of its proximity to the city. This campground wasn't as fancy as the one in Nashville, but it wasn't a big deal, we were here for the city anyway. After giving LunaBear her dinner and tucking her in for the night, we headed off to Memphis. Luckily, we found a parking spot that was close to all the good stuff. Last time I was in Memphis, we got a few drinks at a place called The Flying Saucer. I remembered they had like 70 beers on tap, so what better place to start! Surprisingly, it was pretty busy, but the beer was good. We had a couple and made our way to Beale Street. Along the way, we found an interesting pizza shop that we just had to get a picture in front of.
We made it back to the trailer after a wonderful night, ready to continue our journey the next morning.
